I've worked here 29 years as the receptionist.. we have gone from 16 real estate agents to 103 that I deal with daily.

Cons

Our benefits are being cut; our staff was cut from 9 to 4 people; our health insurance benefits are limited to one company now; etc. No pension plan & 401K is not worth it anymore. The co. used to match dollar to dollar that an employee puts in - that all stopped months ago.

Pros

Coldwell Banker offers more opportunitites for brokers/'agents to grow their business with the latest tools and technology. They have exceeded my expectations every year since joining them in 1994. They have lead me to grow my business and offer me things that as an independent broker, I coudl never do. When compared to other franchises, I believe they offer better marketing, tools and technology for both the broker and the agent. This results in higher productivity for my sales staff which means more sales and more revenue for my agents. I could nto ask for more from my franchise and am proud to be with Coldwell Banker

Pros

As a realtor it is a probably an ok place to work. There seems to be good programs for realtors to grow if they apply themselves.

Cons

As a staff person compensation is below average. I was one of the higher paid staff persons there. Most staff people did not make over $30,000 a year. Many of the realtors can be disrespectful when they don't get there way. Also, there is no room for professional growth as a staff member. Perhaps a place to work in you are in between jobs or you are satisfied with being stagnant. They do not allow staff to give input to improve conditions in the work environment. You are pretty much there just to take up space.
