Pros
At the moment, none that I can think of.
Cons
I have worked for this company for 23 and a half years, and the last few have been awful, the workload ie quantity of prescriptions has almost doubled now 15000 a month, together with all the other services we are supposed to provide we are all run ragged, both of the phones never stop ringing, thanks to the bright spark who thought pharmacy staff didn't have enough to do, and brought in gp surgeries no longer taking prescriptions over the phone so that more time and care can be give to patients, but in turn gives us less time and care because, we, are always answering the phone to take the repeat prescription orders, we are targeted for waiting times, prescription figures, Nms, murs as well as getting the cleaning done oh and the date checking, and the 180 dosette trays that we now have, we have 2 qualified dispenser 1 apprentice, 2 newbys, a pharmacist/ manager and an Act who are both close to nervous breakdown. The pharmacist stays late nearly every night to get things finished and I myself (the Act) come in nearly half an hour every day and sometimes on my day off just to clear up from the aftermath of the day before, resulting in hours of unpaid work, this is just to try and keep up with the ever increasing workload.
