Pros

Supportive staff, help with career advancement

Cons

Extremely long hours for very little pay. It's very easy to become disillusioned with the program.

Pros

Getting to connect with students in need of academic and social emotional support.

Cons

Thrown into a 1700 hour year where you’re offered a plethora of resources that are surface level deep. You attend a class of 15-30 students daily and run an after school program, essentially being an interventionist without the proper trainings or certifications. Be prepared to work 50+ hours a week from August to June for 1360 biweekly pre tax.
