Zero growth, way too many layers, duplicated teams, cushy, good worklife balance
Pros
Good compensation package Stable large company with steady revenue Flexible work hours/location Great work-life balance, esp for those who have kids
Cons
Too many reorgs: experienced 3 reorgs within less than a year. This company is so schizophrenic and disfunctional it's not even funny. No growth: you have to be super in charge of your career in order to get something out of your job. Duplicating work: you see two teams working on the same thing all the time. They need to lay off a lot of people to clean up this place. Layers: way too many layers of management. Mind boggling that there are so many VPs with 0 direct reports. Working remotely: you can work from home for months and talk to people on the phone without knowing what they look like. way to boost morale. Work environment: old grey cubes, empty most of the time because of their working remote policy. Age of employees: very hard to find young people there. You always see lots of people in their 40-50 stuck at the individual contributor level too.
