Pros

The company provides a good environment for employees to work and showcase their own talents which is highly encouraged and supported by each specific group, especially in pursuing opportunities related to initiatives and projects.

Cons

The management pushes their employees to handle initiatives and projects continuously along with their core business processes, which often leads to employee burnout and higher turnover rate.

Pros

Fortnightly Friday off if workload allows it. Flexible work arrangement depending on your manager.

Cons

Constant restructure and redundancies resulting in low morale and internal backstabbing (smiling assassins). Political management who talks the talk but lack leadership and performance. Flat structure with no opportunities for promotion or career advancement. Pretence of flat structure for empowerment but running teams in same hierarchies and bureaucracy. Preaches importance of feedback but punishes those who speak up or highlights areas for improvement, including making individuals redundant thus creating a culture of superficial positivity and silence. Lots of new initiatives that don't add value but done to show that change action is taking place.

Pros

Fellow co-workers. 9/80 schedule, relaxed dress code, flex hours, gym on-site, good employee groups for sports activities, big company with several career paths, R&D path is available for those who like to be close to the technology.

Cons

Middle-management really struggles in the following areas at this location, mentoring, succession planning, maintaining morale, talent retention. There are clear favorites who get promoted fast, creating an "us vs. them" feeling. Many of the supervisors lack basic leadership skills and do not help to make their direct reports feel valued. Most of the people that have less than 10 years experience aren't getting paid enough to buy a house in the Bay Area. If they do buy a house, they sacrifice location, resulting in very long commute times.
