Pros

Best reasons to work for Chevron include: Good work/life balance, competitive pay, good benefits (medical and retirement), pleasant personalities to work with, safety oriented culture, support for ongoing education

Cons

Some of the Cons for working with Chevron include: Since Chevron is such a large company, it takes a long time to move up the career ladder. Younger, highly motivated and high performing individuals could be discouraged by how long it takes to move into a substantial management and leadership position within the company. Some decisions also take a long time to make due to the conservative nature of the company.

Pros

Overall benefits package including salary. Multiple job and career opportunities - I've changed careers several times in my 20 years at Chevron. Love the people, the culture and the Chevron Way. Very flexible work hours - I have a great work/life balance. I have travelled the world and worked on some great projects.

Cons

Large corporations can take time to change. Sometimes you need to wait until the time is right for a proposal to gain traction and get implemented.
