      Pros

      Great place to join if you are just starting out of college. Great training opportunities. You can gain a lot of skills in a very short while if you work at it.

      Cons

      Not recommended if you are joining after being in the workforce for some time. Most likely you will be brought in at a level lower than what you had previously and this really cannot be rectified without resigning and re-applying at the correct level.

      Good opportunities for global exposure Salaries are market competitive Good access to knowledge, standards, and other reference material

      Cons

      Employee performance evaluation is Forced Ranking, Chevron's version of the system "accomodates" those close to management preference with a good performance facade. Benchmark used is not clear, camouflaged by a subjective comparison "among peers". The system is a deterrent of teamwork and does not promote innovation.
