      High importance in safe work procedures; Good compensation and benefits; Flexible work hours and employees are encouraged to have work-life balance; Team-oriented; many training opportunities and growth; team leaders are competent and supportive though this could vary depending on what team you are in; Global company

      Cons

      Processes can be slow and tedious; very very low risk; performance goals can be unclear; usually does not compensate for overtime hours (due to the "work-balance" mantra)

      Pros

      Benefits are excellent, friendly co-workers, flexible work schedules, yearly bonus, opportunities for advancement are good to excellent, depending on your networking skills

      Cons

      Chevron has been outsourcing or downsizing IT professionals for the last five years or so. Chevron does not value IT employees and views them as overhead to be cut when budget trimming is necessary.

      Great place to work if you ever make it to "catergory 1"

      Pros

      Employee benefits and community involvement. 9/80 and flexible work schedules allow for family balance.

      Cons

      Depending on the "function" you support, work-life balance may be optional. Training and development seem to be managers discrection and not the choice of the employee. Not many standards for Managers/Supervisors to adhere to and performance goals are definately hit or miss. Most seem to be made up which makes it difficult to assess how one makes it to category 1 if your hard work but it is group specific and irrelavent to ranking teams.
