No Future Here

Pros

Pay and benefits are decent.

Cons

Chevron’s culture is in a freefall. They’ve swapped "The Chevron Way" for a shareholder-obsessed model that prioritizes offshoring over its American legacy. From the needless 4-day in-office requirement to the blatant systematic replacement of American roles with offshore talent. It’s disheartening to see a once-proud domestic giant suggest that unless you’re based in India, you no longer have a future here.

Pros

Decent pay, its a job.

Cons

Executive Leadership has successfully destroyed the soul of this company. There is nothing 'American' about a management team that is desperate to export every job they can while leaving local morale in the gutter. They’ve traded loyalty for layoffs and expertise for offshoring. Our IT infrastructure is a disaster zone—a direct result of deep, desperate cuts and a CIO who is completely out of their league. This company didn't just lose its way; it turned its back on the American people to chase a cheaper bottom line.

Corporate Destruction

Pros

Its a job in difficult times. Decent benefits. Some good teammates exist out there.

Cons

Leadership hasn’t just failed this company; they’ve destroyed it. Morale is dead, and management’s credibility is non-existent. Their vision begins and ends with layoffs and shipping American jobs overseas, betraying the very legacy they claim to uphold. This is not longer a "Great American Company". The IT department is the ultimate casualty—a chaotic wreck thanks to an incompetent CIO and shortsighted cuts that have left the infrastructure in shambles. Coming in the office 4 days a week for online meetings with people overseas is insane.
