Currently fairly quick promotion. Decent leave scheme. Pay is good but the cost of living is horrendous. Do the sums.
Cons
A massive con is the non- existent training. The 'training' department are brutal in their checking and have a firm grasp of the non essential. This adds a huge an unnecessary stress to the job. They are stuck in 1970's. Expect to fail sims, line checks, upgrades as it seems this policy of instilling fear is designed to keep you in the books. Cost of living. Poor roster stability. Toxic management. Terrible roster disruption and China ATC delays. Tough place to fly with terrain, third world destinations with questionable ATC, big weather for most of the summer.
