Pros

The benefits are great and include very generous vacation time, personal time, health insurance and many additional discounts and other voluntary benefits.

Cons

Definitely the old boys network rules here. If you don't have company connections, it's difficult to get hired and/or once hire, to make a move. Management is from the 1970s-1980s school of management style - do as I say, don't question my authority, etc. If you have outside experience, expect to have them completely discount / disregard that experience. If it isn't Caterpillar experience, it isn't anything. If you are hired as what they call a "mid-career" hire (someone with 5 or more years of outside experience), they will bring you in at the very bottom of the pay scale, and not advance your pay at an appropriate rate, either. Not very woman or minority friendly. A place for white males. Expect to put in some long hours.

Pros

Caterpillar has been a great place to work overall. They are very willing to review your career goals and ensure you're heading in the direction you want to go. The base pay and incentive pay are very respectable. Workers are treated with respect and their opinions are listened to.

Cons

The one "con" of working at Caterpillar is, the manufacturing industry is sometimes feast-or-famine (depending on the market demand for product). When it's great it's great. When it's not... it can really be not good. I'm taking voluntary early retirement.

Pros

I could See Interview process is ok,

Cons

Caterpillar IT Division : Bangalore 1.Caterpillar Ask to Submit Original Documents of Last Company Offer & Relieving Letter, for that they will not provide any proof too. 2. It's something that Diplomatic Bond between Company & Employee for Experience Candidates. 3. As like this, no where in any company asks for it. 4. HR are really poor in explaining joining formalities. 5. If candidate ask any question which they dont have answer , HR says simply says its Company Policy. 6. Every HR has a sentence that " Feel Free to get in touch for any Doubts" in every mail , but a candidate reach out they will never respond, that the Beauty of them. 7. They have diff Freshers in HR team like sourcing, Interview scheduler, post Interview Executives & pre joining Followers, but if you try to reach them they cannot explain bcoz they don't know the process. As like this they have many problems while joining itself. Later after Joining Caterpillar i personally feel no respect is given to Human Values. Only Values given to Girls **** Hope you can U.stand
