You work with a lot of experienced and usually friendly people. Close family like niches depending on the group you enter. Generally a teamwork environment. Working with clients to fulfill their goals is rewarding.

Cons

No clear path for advancement and promotions are few and far between. You have to group hop, get very lucky timing wise, or wait forever to advance to a position that fits your talent level. The close family like niches feud with with one another from group to group. Not enough tiers within a job title. You feel you must advance in title to get a pay reasonable (not just 1%-2% a year) bump causing a lot of ill feelings when a pay tier system based on talent and experience could help alleviate the anxiety.

Plenty of opportunity to move around and try new positions within the company. Fast paced workplace and satisfaction in working with drugs that will be on the market. Depending on the site, people want to make the place better and get employees involved with activities.

Cons

It is a CRO, don't expect the profit margins of a large pharma company, the salaries and company extras can be sparse. If you are not willing to work hard and push management, you can easily be left behind.

Constantly changing priorities. No support from management or support departments. Work force is not engaged, no accountability by staff or management. People yell at you and are not professional.
