Pros

It used to be good! Love the brand since childhood and I’ve worked in a few different luxury brands. Cartier really standout the most. They provide great training to develop you as a person rather than all the brand knowledge, which is a great tool, as you can’t do your job when not knowing yourself. Team culture was great, they focus more on people when I joined. Warm like a family but still professional.

Cons

As the company expanding, they hired a lot of people who talk the talk but not necessary walk the talk within the market. As long as you are brave enough to held a meeting with your boss and tell them how good you are with an action plan, you most likely to get a promotion. To those who walk the talk but not showing off enough, sorry this is not a place for you. You will work hard for those who talks only, you won’t get to shine but the one who talks. In HO there’s no communication between different departments, they do their own things and require retail’s department to compromise their plans..as you in retails, you just have to listen and follow, yes they encourage feedback, but once you gave feedback, they will label you as not an open minded person?? A bit of a joke, so no one dare to say no now or give real feedback. And you will be surprised they all worked in the same office but doesn’t know what each others doing and their planning for the year, until the last minute and all event and planning were crashed. Product training team provide product training from time to time, never have enough product information, every time staffs ask questions they can’t answer 😂 again ask for feedback and challenges, their answer was they don’t see it as a challenges, well…. because a lot of them doesn’t work in retails so you don’t see what we see, and no doubt we don’t see what they see as well, therefore there’s a big gap between the HO and retails department. Pay structure changed claiming the whole brand, all market will change. We do talk among ourselves, we do know people who works in different market, and of course we shared informations, as a results Australia pay structure was different to others, huge pay cut to retails, claiming that one team direction, however back of house and CS doesn’t have much increase, so what is the one team direction? All the pay cuts goes to those positions that they created nonsense? Last but not least, you will be only looked at $, X amount of kpis, client barometers, how good to talk, to weight if you are good or not. Many more cons are not listed…. Anyway, it used to be a prestige brand to go for, all the talents wanted to join badly. Now they are no different from other brands anymore. As they always follow what is LVMH are doing? I wonder why we have to follow? We should lead rather than follow.
