10 dollars an hour to start with way to increase pay as you advance in training. You get to drive some interesting cars around the lot and sometimes on the road.

Cons

You work 75% of the time outside You work in rain snow and thunderstorms outside Lots of responsibilities and tasks to do with little time Can be fairly physically demanding walking 15 to 20 thousand steps a day with lots of bending crouching and kneeling. Lowest paying position in the store less than people who get to sit inside in the AC and dry.

The only good thing about carmax is the benefits and that's it and the some of the people that you work with

Cons

They over work you, there are just too many tasks that you have to do as a inventory associate to be making penny's and dimes to the millions that this company is making on a regular basis. And as a inventory associate you are disrespected all the time by the other departments. The mangers suck and don't know how to deal with the pressure that happens on a regular basis and end up just leaving the department and making the employees handle the high pressure situations all of the time. Mangers always lie to you and they lie to there higher ups and if your on there bad side they do in any means fired you even when it's not right for the business. It's just not worth it you'll be coming back home each and everyday stressed to your limits and hate working there.
