There's plenty of room for collaboration and they are very big on training and consulting. Its good experience for anyone looking to gain more skills in a consulting atmosphere

Cons

It's very much a hero culture. Upper management boasts of collaboration and team work but rarely do they reward for these skills. Individual achievement at any cost is the unwritten rule.

Commitment to community. Will allow 4 hrs paid time off to volunteer, including onsite opportunities yearly. Customer service department focused on customer experience and quality. Happy and fun work environment. Quality is rewarded.

Cons

Collection department focused on numbers and not customer experience Employees who i.e. hang up on low paying customers to boost their numbers rewarded at the expense of employees who go the extra mile to provide quality service. Expect employee concerns to be disregarded on the Collections side. Fewer opportunities for female employees on Collections side.

I have met leaders who think they are smart because of their position. However, at Capital One during my 18 year tenure I had the chance to see some really smart leaders in action. It was always a treat to see the CEO present the strategy and the case behind. I did not see that in any other place I worked for,
