Pros

Giving 1 star only because of good insurance coverage

Cons

First and foremost, good reviews shown are likely to be premeditated - ie. staff are asked/made to write positive reviews so as to improve their ratings on glassdoor as it used to be in the low 2s. There seems to be a spike in positive reviews in an orchestrated manner. Hence, do take positive reviews with a huge pinch of salt. If you’re just looking for a job that pays sufficiently, and career progression and learnings are not of importance to you, you may skip reading. Graduates are used as cheap resources for projects so that projects can be sold cheaply. The bulk of graduate’s salary is funded by the government because of the graduate programme scheme. Over promise in proposals or in their words to clients and under deliver (ie. no good qualified expertise placed on projects). Clients are always right and the welfare of staff does not matter. Project delays or issues are blamed on staff executing the project, when most of the time it is due to poor project management. Staff are expected work overtime to catch up. Projects are constantly delayed because of poor project management - ie. no good quality project managers. Zero career progression, your progression is based of how long you stay with the company and how much you engage with the management. Also, if you are good at talking, you will make it too. People who can speak well even without delivery capabilities are well appreciated, because sales is what brings in the money. Lack of good middle layer management to learn from (middle management is also almost non-existent). Lack of diversity in races and gender ratio within the company and in management. APAC region is free to run in whatever manner they want to - with zero strategic direction in place.

Pros

I think Capgemini is possibly one of the best employers I have ever worked for. They pay employees a very good salary, the benefits package is generous, and you get a work life balance that works for you. Capgemini offices are comfortable and appealing to work in. They also include a range of physical spaces that allow for privacy, collaboration, and simply hanging out. Your base location can also be changed, and they assign you to the nearest location to your home. They give you clear and specific expectations for what success looks like in all job roles, they encourage collaboration, and networking is easy as everyone is very willing to assist you. They also treat employees as adults by giving them as much autonomy as possible to choose when they work, where they do their work, and how best to get it accomplished. Capgemini provide employees with ongoing opportunities and incentives to learn, develop and grow, both in establishing new job-specific hard skills, as well as softer skills that serve them well as individuals, and as managers and leaders. Their university is top-notch, and development is encouraged. I also feel that the senior leadership team make employees feel valued, and they are transparent with how they communicate with employees. Employee engagement is also taken very seriously, as is an employees wellbeing. I feel comfortable walking up and talking to any of our executives and knowing they will engage in meaningful conversation. Everyone here is so willing to help and contribute regardless of their title or rank, and they have a real dynamic hierarchy. There are a lot of very high quality people at Capgemini who genuinely care about what is best for their customers and company as a whole, and they will strive to do what is possible to achieve this. Capgemini also makes a conscious effort to make gender equality a reality throughout the company, and differences are valued and embraced.

Cons

Some of Capgemini's internal systems could do with an overhaul. It would make employees more productive and efficient.

Pros

Capgemini has always listened to me when I wanted to make a project/ role change. I have even been able to move states with their support. I am surrounded by very supportive, intelligent and kind people. I am lucky enough to have a very flexible position right now, where I can work from home or go into the office when I choose. They are doing a lot of work to improve employee engagement, and to help employees grow in the technologies/ roles they want to.

Cons

Cannot think of any at the moment.
