Good placeholder job but dead-end.

Pros

Genuinely collaborative environment usually (depending on placement).

Cons

No development or promotion once you become senior for technical positions. Sub par compensation, minimal raises, promotion extremely hard to attain once you reach a certain level. The only training that is remotely encouraged is training directly relevant to your current engagement - no concept of developing the human resources in the company (except for junior roles)

Pros

Trainings : Technology Sessions Personal Growth is good initially Processes are followed with best practices. Brand Name ( loosing its sheen) No issues with Variable Payout Multiple Domian experience and number of projects.

Cons

Overcrowded Cafeteria. Literally half of the size of what is required. Wait in queue even for a seat to eat. Complaints about food quality requires a 10 TB hard disk to fill up. 9.5 hours with swipe tracking in portal.Flexible work hours(which was a major plus) just went out the window. Transport system moved to BMTC, Worst decision ever. No Team Outings/ No sweets or goodies for any occasion / festival Menial hikes which is almost decided at a company level (Your performance doesn't matter) No KT from projects (exists only on paper). Learn on your own. Managers usually claim they have nothing in their hands when asked for Onsite/Hike/Role Change etc. Cant easily move between projects. Need to beg for at least 2 years. Mostly support projects all over. No Onsite as they always employ resources from the Capgemini office in that respective country. Heavy cost cutting and more into getting revenue than taking care of employees. Work life balance depends on Manager. Politics runs in the veins of the company. No Retention plans for employees - My entire team of 17 has changes in the past 2 years. 3 months notice period No appreciation for good work. Only frowned upon for the bad work. Promotions is very very slow and they will not promote for your performance rather you will get promoted if you fight for it for at least a year or 2 after you realize you deserve it. If people are staying for long, its only to maintain a clean resume rather than multiple jumps in less time.
