Pros

The students are people from many countries, many highly educated, eager to improve or learn English. The great conversations, learning about the world, about cultures and interacting in a way that unites us on an other level. On a personal level: the independence it gives me to organize my own schedule. I appreciate being paid weekly and it has been interesting how I manage my time differently. When I'm not giving classes, I miss my students!

Cons

Would love for there to be half hour sessions.

Pros

Cambly is a great place to work! I love meeting all the new students and learning about their cultures, hobbies, and interests. Working for Cambly allows me to study while I am working as they have a flexible schedule and they are always willing to help out in order to improve your experience.

Cons

Sometimes you get students who are not interested in learning English and prefer flirting with the tutor or a group of teenagers who are just fooling around.

Pros

The people are great! As a new tutor you have to wade your way through some annoying trial users, and of course you won't click with every student, but this is usually obvious to both parties. A few weeks in I get to hang out with people I consider friends and make money. I've learned a lot about Saudi Arabian culture, Korea, Taiwan, and just today an a very pleasant Italian guy explained the his government to me. Also you can take it anywhere with internet and you genuinely make your own schedule. No minimums.

Cons

The money. I live in Colombia right now, so it's enough to survive, but in the states this would be side hustle at best. Unless you wanted to work all the time, which I think would be socially exhausting.
