Pros

-scheduling whenever and wherever you are in the world - weekly payouts above $20 money PST time - Being able to work while getting other things done as you basically “on call roulette system” - learning about the cultures from people all over the world

Cons

- The resources are basically a joke - No ability to grow or earn more - extreme lack of professionalism with free trial students - No ability to block free trial students which really aren’t worth the time energy etc - It is impossible to make a steady income without grinding for long hours which then makes you learn less for your time - once again there is no guarantee of making the set $10 per hour. Even if you become an excellent tutor with curtailed or self made lesson plans the best you can hope to earn is $10.. They recently started a Children’s program and the pay is $12 but not all will be on boarded and the process was cumbersome

Pros

I have been a tutor on Cambly for about two months and I absolutely love it! I like the flexibility of the job and I have met many intelligent and interesting people. This job has really been a learning experience for me; I am constantly learning about other people and places in the world from my conversations. Meeting and talking to people around the world is a phenomenal experience.

Cons

The only con would be the small number of free trials who do not take their trial seriously.

Pros

It's trully a privilege to speak to English language from literally all over the world.

Cons

You can't count on speaking with students as a newbe and increase your overall rating (so students will want to talk to you) if you do not have what they call 'Priority Hours.' This means that unless you can get those priority hours, your 'new talent' personal written designation, (which takes the place of your rating) is not profiled in the way that students will ever contact you, so you can waste your time 'waiting for a call' and a few dollars to come in, I don't know what the problem is. I think newbies are possibly not getting calls because they could have recently hired too much of us. Obviously don't depend on this job too much at all. I knew it would never be a money maker' for me but I don't like spending hours waiting online for a call 'that might come in.' This is especially the case when I am a newcommer to the company.
