Pros

Flexibility- make your own schedule Meeting people from all over the world Weekly pay to paypal

Cons

Low pay Pay ranges from $2-10.20 an hour, so it is difficult to anticipate how much you will be paid Some students expect a planned lesson when you have never met or taught them before I was unexpectedly deactivated from the site with no warning and they didn't even tell me- I had to email them

Pros

The students are really great and interesting people...talking to them is like traveling without leaving your house :) Also, the scheduling is very flexible.

Cons

The pay is incredibly low. I reached their highest level - "Super Tutor" - very quickly and there is NO PAY INCREASE for this. No reward at all for maintaining a high level of student satisfaction. There is also no direct way to get in contact with them if you have a problem. Their system is awful - tons of tech problems - and whenever there's an issue, their automatic response is to blame it on the tutor. You also get rated by students and have no way to fight back against it if a student rates you unfairly due to their own unrealistic expectations, the fact that you won't agree to marry them...whatever it is.

Pros

You get to meet great people from all around the globe. In my experience, they have paid on time.

Cons

Tech support SUCKS! One may have to wait 45 minutes for a 5 minute "I want to ask you about this app" that's a whopping .85 cents for your time. They take away priority hours on their own whim, so they don't have to pay you. One could literally sit in front of their computer for 10 hours and get NO calls. It's not happened to me, but I've had plenty of 2-4 hour stretches.
