Pros

You create your own hours

Cons

Despite reading some awful reviews I decided to apply for this position anyway, earlier this year. Regrettably, all of the reviews are TRUE. I work at least 60 hours a week to meet my numbers to avoid being reprimanded. You'd be better off with a csr job $15 an hour doing ot. The salary offer they present to you truly is a scam. It looks pretty but don't bite the bait. There is no work life balance. Once you begin working from home, the system is extremely slow, (for everyone) which is even more pressure to meet your numbers. My mental health has deteriorated immensely since I began this job. Essentially, we are responsible for making problems out of thin air and resolving them when the beneficiary isn't even upset. They say it's Monday through Friday but you better work Sunday through Sunday if you know what's good for you.

Pros

Flexible scheduling, supportive technicians and staff, opportunity for growth, will keep you busy/make the time fly

Cons

Despite being a health care provider, this is still retail. Most pharmacies are understaffed due to budget cuts, error occurrences increase, no breaks, long time standing, declined vacation days

Pros

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IS GOOD ABOUT THIS COMPANY!!

Cons

I was with CVS for 12 yrs. When I started, things were great as far as the company itself goes. As the years went on.. especially after Tom Ryan retired... it went downhill. In the last year alone, I've seen #2 in the company, Helena Folkes, leave.. after witnessing her in person preaching about the company being so involved and concerned about customers and employees.. putting them #1, caring for them, making sure we are all being treated right and acting professional. Also in the past year, my district manager and regional manager left the company.. also always trying to do what's right. Many tenured store managers have left recently as well, including myself. They got me so stressed over the last few years that I finally ended up in the hospital with cardiac issues. But, they dont care.. everyone is replaceable. CVS has to be your life if you are going to do everything they want because the store manager has to work 70 hrs a week to make up for the hours we can't give to the crew. The district manager comes down on you because their bosses come down on them and so on, all the way up to Larry Merlo.. who probably just sits in an office and dictates. You can't terminate some one who committed job abandonment until you've jumped thru every hoop they require you to, yet, a store manager can be fired on the spot for not doing a cashier analysis report (which by the way does nothing for the store!).. or accidentally leaving a quart of milk that the sell by date was yesterday... etc... They change policies all the time.. confusing and agitating both customers and employees. The hiring process is horrible, the pay is even worse. Its embarrassing for a store manager to offer what they let us offer.. and even worse, a 10 cent raise once a year! Great job! Here's your 10 cents! The computer programs to track financials and customer service are horrible.. the give us unachievable budgets and targets, then punish us for not making them. Customers complain about things out of our control like it's our fault. They call corporate and end up with a gift card.. but still hating the store and employees. I could go on and on... 12 yrs worth of this. Like I said tho.. it all went down hill when Larry Merlo took over.. stocks have even dropped tremendously since then.. VERY GREEDY COMPANY!! Don't even bother applying!
