When I started with CVS in 2002, it was a pretty good company to work for. But in recent years the company cut hour while expecting the same or more production. There would be stacks of prescriptions to process and patients would be to to come back tomorrow. when the patient did come back, the prescription would still not be ready. I would work over many hours EVERY week without pay to try to catch up. Many weeks I would go to the store on my day off to try to get caught up, after all I lived in the community and personally knew many of the patients. There was no time to counsel patients or review profiles. it was exceedingly unprofessional and dangerous to the patient.
There were constant changes in management. They increased the metric numbers to an unreachable level, probably so that they would not have to pay bonuses.
I would like to see a Pharmacist union that would stand up to CVS and protect the employees against ruthless management.
