Pros

Mostly steady job. Lots of interesting people and good rapport with customers (mostly). Wide variety of Photos technology at disposal.

Cons

Inconsistent hours, Inability of company to satisfy all customers and employees. The amount of work that supervisors and technicians, let alone cashiers do is not worth the meager pay which we receive. especially if the job in question pays the cost of living. Lay off the constant badgering to make more money and sell more products to consumers who may or may not want it

Pros

The computer system has many bells and whistles to assist with practice. Quite nice to have all inventory counted and inventory levels in the computer.

Cons

The computer system has a few too many hiccoughs and system errors. Reports often indicate that data is still under review...by whom?? Auto replenishment...nice, howevery why can't it autoreplenish outside vendor items..doesn't seem to be very comprehensive. Management wants you to shut up and put up...seemingly little respect for pharmacist insights and/or suggestions.

Pros

Decent salary and yearly bonus potential, nice store environment, nice co-workers.

Cons

In a smaller/lower-volume store, you will likely need to do much of the workload yourself and it may demand 60++ hour workweeks. Weekly conference calls and 1-2 monthly meetings on top of that, likely on your day off. The company seems to want to keep introducing new programs which increase the workload, instead of first making current programs more efficient. Register item-of-the-month up-selling to every customer requirements make cashiers seem like robotic salespeople and less personable. Most managers work an overnight shift bi-weekly to take in a delivery truck, and must work a regular shift the next day.
