Decent pharmacy to work at.

Pros

Good 401k matching and stock purchase plan. Healthcare benefits are around the same price elsewhere. Discount in store is OK. Not a problem to get the hours needed even in hard times. Decent vacation time after being employed for five years.

Cons

Don't expect to go anywhere out of the pharmacy. A person hits top and there is not too many places to go up the corporate ladder. Raises are done minimally except for the normal yearly raise. Raises are not done on merrit too much. Sometimes feels like upper management cares more about the customers and if they are happy than if the employees are happy.

Pros

I have found that the Benefits and the insurance opportunities are great. My family and I are very satisfied with the Health Plans. I have also found that the Salaries are a little better than the average at least in my area. The management is good at communicating the changes going on within the company and answering any questions that arise. I am extremely happy with the job security provided by the company. I am happy with the work environment and the amenities that are definitely not provided in other companies places of work.

Cons

There isn't a lot of room for advancement within the pharmaceutical areas within the PBM side of the company. The qualifications which have to be met for raises and promotions are a little out of reach for most of the employees. Management need to provide a way for employees to give suggestion for improvement within their departments.

Pros

They provide good plans for insurance compensation, such as visual and medical insurace. The salary is decent and they're opportunities for advancement within the company as well.

Cons

Sometimes we aren't very educated or respected but the whole of the company. We can get lost in the amount of empoloyees CVS has at times and are not exactly up to date on what is happening to the company as a whole. Also, respect isn't a stronghold, especially starting out at the company, you have to work your way up to earn respect from team members. Also, sometimes being called into work isn't a consideration regardless of the reason time is needed off.
