Pros

Will pay for certification and if you can suffer through it long enough, you can build up enough experience to move elsewhere.

Cons

Pay is unlivable, hours are terrible, pharmacy managers are usually ‘fresh-off-the-press’ pharmacists who have zero management experience and usually quit shortly after hired…same with techs due to training being a “thrown to the wolves” situation in a good 99% stores. Techs (NOT ALL!) are frequently very young and catty, have attitudes, make working daily miserable…not worth the already unlivable wage. Yearly “raise” is percentage based, anything between 0-5%. My coworker last year got a whopping 0.01 CENT raise and after hearing that, I was actually glad I DIDN’T get a raise because getting a whole penny extra per hour as a raise is actually a slap in the face.
