Thank you so much for taking the time to leave feedback on your time at CONTEXT. We are glad to hear that there are aspects you enjoyed from your time here. As for the salaries, we are in the process of revising them and are taking the time to level them out across the company. We will continue to monitor this area in future too. Thanks again for your feedback, please do not hesitate to contact info@contextworld.com if you have any further questions.

Pros

Context is an amazing company to kick off your career. They give you full ownership of your work and the chance to take over several projects. At your own pace, you can learn about new technologies and stuff, apply them in your current work. It is a good place to develop both professionally and personally and a great stepping stone. Great culture. The atmosphere is magical at the office and everyone makes you feel at home. The people are awesome. It is clear that inclusion and diversity are their main pillars. No wonder why they won "Best Place To Work" in many occasions. The CEO is present at all times, easy to talk to and very friendly. The upper-levels are very transparent with what's going on in the company as we hold weekly meetings to talk about the numbers, news, etc. If you are looking for friendly, kind and innovative environment in which to start your career and develop leadership and technical skills this is your place to go.

Cons

Unfortunately, I do not see myself working here in the long-term. The salaries are clearly NOT aligned with those of the market. People in the company who are extremely experienced and capable could be earning twice as much in other places (I believe some of them love the company's culture so much they'd rather earn less) I also do not see clear growth opportunities within the company. The roof seems too low and I see people in the same position for ages. It does make you feel that you will be in the same place for a long time, no matter how much you improve or how much expertise you gain. Some other people in mid-level positions are clearly not as qualified as their title says they are.

Thanks for this great, honest review: it’s just what we need to keep us on the right track. From what you say, there are two key areas that we need to work on: salaries and skills. You are confirming the feedback we received from the “Great Places to Work” employee survey that is run as part of the evaluation process that led to us being granted the Award. What we have actually done in response is as follows: 1. Salaries. We have been carrying out a reassessment of salary levels across the board, and based on this work we have started the process of levelling up. 2. Skills. We have just invested in a learning platform where everyone is encouraged to acquire new skills - from technical, to business, through to managerial, and others. We have many more plans for training and gaining experience, as I agree it is vital that people who work at CONTEXT make progress in their ability to serve our clients. Thank you again for your review - do contact me directly about any of this if you would like to follow up. Yaiza Hernandez CONTEXT People Development Manager
