Pros

commission is good if you play your cards right there's opportunity to move up

Cons

long hours on your feet with only 30 min lunch tension between co workers. no emphasis on sales. employees do doubles in order to make more money It seems like you have to have to become friends with the management in order to get ahead. A lot of the people that get promoted had an out of work relationship with management

Growing with some pains

Pros

This is for Clear Corporate... I know there are different dynamics for Field. People here are really excited about what we're doing and where we're going. There is so much innovation it's impossible to come to work feeling bored or complacent. A lot of room for growth internally. Most managers really do value "speak up" and "embrace change" and are excited about the ideas their teams can bring to the table and encourage them to share those ideas. We have a chef that makes us breakfast every morning. This isn't just a bagel spread with some mushy fruit but sausages, pancakes, avocado toast, breakfast tacos, etc. There is a theme everyday. Our senior leadership team is very accessible. They come to events, they have an open door policy, they try to meet and interact with everyone no matter what level or job title. People willing to accept our mistakes and be better. I've been at companies in the past where everything is a spin (internal or external). Of course, sometimes that will happen but it seems that as a company, we try to learn from our mistakes and/or be better. While benefits aren't great, they do try to compensate that with a decent salary & bonus structure.

Cons

Some of the growing pains are very typical for companies at this stage who have hired so much so quickly. I think the biggest one is a lack of foundation for certain processes. With that said, we have hired people into those positions who can build out these processes and hopefully those changes will start soon. Our benefits are $$$ and not very good. Silver lining: they're moving in the right direction. Most companies at this stage start increasing costs of benefits while Clear is decreasing costs each year and adding more perks. Lack of conference and breakout rooms. If you need to take a private call: good luck finding a place to take it. If you need to have a private conversation with a colleague, you might have to kick someone out of one of the 2 breakout rooms (that can't be booked). If we hire as many people this year as we did last year, I have no idea where they will interview or take calls/meetings/etc.
