Pros
8-5 job, great work-life balance, low-key environment, great benefits, pay is about the same as market. Most people who work there are pretty nice. cafeteria at the Inver grove heights location. Family oriented as most people who work there have kids.
Cons
Culture of process improvement is non-existent in my division. Most people are ok doing the same thing they have been doing for 20 years. Management often pigeon-hole you into a specific function and is ok leaving you there for the next 20 years. No strategic plan for developing and retaining talent. When you are good or interested at something and you raise your hand, you will get shut down. People have very poor technology skills (Excel, access, etc). No clear path for advancement. This job is perfect if you just want stability and pay, but if you want to grow into a well-rounded and market-compatible professional, go somewhere else.
