Great starting point...that is it though!
Pros
CHS has many professionals within the field that you work in. Everyone is willing to help you succeed, as long as you seek out the help. The pension plan is pretty great also, since not many companies offer it anymore and it is 100% employer funded. Convenient location of corporate office on the southeast side of the the Twin Cities. CHS does an excellent job of giving back to the community, which is important for a company with little to no brand recognition.
Cons
Salary seems to be on the weaker side when compared to other competing grain companies. Bonuses are based on personal goals, business unit goals, and divisional goals. Since the grain markets have tanked in the past couple years, bonuses have been slim to none. Management is still the good ole boy motto, and if you aren't part of the club, you aren't moving up. 401k match is also slightly weak when compared to other companies surrounding the Twin Cities. They just added paternal leave of 2 weeks, which is still well behind many other companies.
