      Watch What State You Work In

      Pros

      Ability to work on large complex and challenging projects, if you want to, and can demonstrate you have the skills to do so.

      Cons

      In some states, like Ohio, people are placed in high level management roles that don't have the experience. In these areas, its not about what you know, but who you know.

      Pros

      Focus is on making a better world which of course, GREAT! People are some of the best in the world at what they do. Work/Life balance attitude is the best in their industry.

      Cons

      Executive leadership is failing the employees by not being able to grow in the primary industries due to out of date project execution strategies. CEO has to make selling/merging the Company the #1 priority and lose the swagger of years gone by.

      Pros

      The work is very flexible. You are able to work from home 1 to 2 days a week after 6 months - 1 year with the company. This is about the only pro to the job. Decent benefits.

      Cons

      Within the GE Aviation program (Evendale, OH), management is all over the place and it is frustrating to try and keep up with what exactly they want. They will tell you one thing and do another. There is also high turnover within this program, and for good reason. Morale is very low and they do not care to try and fix this. The office is in a basement and is a horrible environment. Beware taking a job here as you will likely regret it.
