The work is interesting and the ability to try new things better than most any other place to work.
Cons
There was a time when CH2MHILL was like a large family. The ideal of employee owenership was paramount. Over the past 5-8 years this has been replaced with a top-down org where the troops need to work harder to provide for the lavish salaries and benefits for the top tier. Outside top management has replaced those that built the compnay and the do anything for a buck now rules. Recently all the IS/IT/GIS consultants were 'spun off' to form a new company named Critigen. The idea was that the same people would do the same work for the same clients but that CH would get a $50-million check. Not even Enron could have come up with such a stupid idea to make a huge pot of money without earning it. It has been a total disaster. It has runied this group and the lives of many of the consultants. This is not the company it used to be.
