Pros

Some Management Personell were employee oriented. In regards to Upper Management, it was hit or miss. It depended on the project team created for execution and also contingent on which office the project was developed.

Cons

Upper management has become more isolated and removed from the employees who do the actual work. The have become more political in their orientation. Some are so driven by there own greed for pwer they do not care who they run over to advance their personal desires.

Great benefits! Alaska was an adventurous place to see and work.

Cons

CH2MHILL had poor communication and underqualifed leadership. They were unable to recognize talent and had improper placement of man power. Way too much micro management.

-Salary is competitive and the retirement benefits are great -Some of the projects are high profile and interesting

Cons

- The company's "little yellow book" for how to run a company is just lip service. -Little or nonexistent career development or support -Some departments have just one client, making it difficult to gain diverse experience -Major cost cutting -Strong old boy's club attitude -Unfriendly office -Managers not communicative; often left in the dark about department changes -Direct manager (OL, in CH parlance) basically out to lunch and not helpful AT ALL with work load leveling or career development In short, I have no idea how this company ever made it on the Fortune's great place to work. It's really the worst place I've ever worked.
