      Management in Prudhoe Bay sucks

      Pros

      I am still trying to figure this one out.

      Cons

      Was hired with 7 others 3 started at a higher wage with way less experience. Was told that everyone started at same wage. I chose not to use kneepads. Food is unhealthy, rooms are the ghetto of the North Slope. They make you fly home on Sundays only which is very expensive and means less hometime with family

      Pros

      Benefits, large projects, great career building opportunities, large talent pool, descent pay, tuition reimbursement, 401k match, large company with opportunity to transfer/travel.

      Cons

      Management overlooks talent pool assigned to small projects.

      Pros

      Free coffee. The people I worked with were very qualified, intelligent and for the most part good communicators. There were exceptions and those exceptions schmoozed their way into managements favor.

      Cons

      Anything to do with spending money was an uphill battle, including training. I retired while working there after 9 years, 4 months. There were no benefits. 10 years will get you 50% off of company (still very expensive). A below average to mediocre company overall to work for. I wouldn't be surprised if Lee Mc destroyed it.
