Poor considering the size of the organisation.

Cons

Unethical and lack respect for employees. CH2MHILL bought Tera and demonstrate unethical practices when it comes to staff retention. Tera's Director of HR and VP of communication terminated the employment of many hard working people. Senior management have no clue about the work people do beneath them. Stay away from this company. CH2MHILL has been doing poorly financially which is why they bought into the environmental market. They do not understand the business.

Pros

There are really great people doing tremendous things for the environment. The company culture is respect for the employees and everyone owns a piece of the company. Leadership in general tries to do the right things for the employees and the clients. The people on site that I work with are genuine and very good at what they do. The commitment to diversity is a wonderful value across the board.

Cons

Money for training and employee development gets cut early in the year and then not reinstated later in the year. Middle managers need training on people management. The current CEO is clueless about operations and micro manages everything down to where people sit on her floor. Her bio is fraudulent and she married the former CEO's best friend and college roommate to get the job. Men at CH are now wondering how they can break through the "glass ceiling" and move up. She is surrounding herself with "yes" women.

Pros

Most colleagues are very supportive. In general, though, everyone is so overworked that they ultimately become selfish with their knowledge and time. It’s a pretty toxic work environment when everyone has to watch their back.

Cons

The company has very much drifted away from the values that made them a popular employer only a few years ago. New hires learn quickly that work/life balance, career opportunities, training and respect are only fleeting promises used for recruiting. Many are leaving as they learn the true story.
