Pros
Huge company (30,000+) with an international presence. Great campus, good benefits, which of course are getting not as good thanks to Obamacare. There's a cafeteria and a health club on site, and the company participates in many community causes and activities.
Cons
The company decided in recent years to go to the giant 'bull pen' type of desk arrangement meaning you have no privacy at all and can hear everything that's said around you due to the 3 foot high walls between cubes. The culture at least where I was was very strict and stifling, clock watchers, even though I was a salaried employee expected to work whatever hours (after hours) it took to get the job done. If you like a lot of rigid structure and rules this probably wouldn't bother you. There a perception that this company doesn't lay people off, but that's not true. It's just not public knowledge generally. I saw it happen quite frequently while I was there.
