CH2M HILL is currently a great place to work but it might be drifting away from that.

Pros

Great people and great work environment. Allowed for tele-working and always pushed safety and wellness.

Cons

Hard to advance because people don't want to leave. Seems like a lot of management turnover lately and the company is getting away from the core values that made it so great a few years ago.

Pros

Good pay as long as they have projects for us.

Cons

Upper management listens to lawyers and accountants first. I understand they have to make a profit but CH2 is not looking at long term growth by growing their people. They promise training but will not spend money or promote technical seminars. Medical benefits are average but with very high costs to the people. Their recent Voluntary Retirement Program provided a generous severance pay but people with more than 95% ratio of billable hours to total hours were not included. They didn't care about rewarding high contributing people. CH2MHill is not a people friendly company.

Lack of strategic vision and logistical focus for the business. This is a company whose leaders are fighting among themselves to the detriment of the company
