Pros

Great debt of knowledge. Good people. Several avenues to get training. Can pick up the phone at discuss / resolve project issues with any employee in various US locations.

Cons

Difficult to get away from the 'contractor' title and do work as a CH2M Hill employee. Difficult to get all managers to come up with answers. Because one may have several managers, you may be pulled in several different directions. They do tend to hire former military officers for list of contacts rather than what they know. Good thing is, the list of contacts has a short life span.

Pros

Very flexible schedules allow for a good balance to work and home life. The benefits are extremely good, compared to previous jobs and the spouses job. The variety of projects that can be worked on allows for things to be fresh and interesting, it can be very monotonous to work on the same task day in and day out. Atmosphere at offices I have been at appear not to be stuffy, but casual and easy going.

Cons

The fact that even though you are "salaried", you are project billable. Basically you are salaried in name only.
