      Enough of the Corporate Speak

      Pros

      The people in the trenches that deliver the work need to be rewarded for keeping the company afloat. CEO is living in 'lala' land if she thinks we buy her quarterly talks. We are well educated, tell us the truth about what's going on.

      Cons

      Layoffs continue with executive management still collecting their outrageous salaries, 5% staff reduction should also result in salary cuts for execs. They are the ones who allow these financial losses to happen. Second straight quarter of reduction in stock price is coming. People are not supportive of corporate suite.

      Pros

      Some of the coworkers were fun to work with.

      Cons

      Horrid communication. Terrible management that are unable and unwilling to reduce billing rates to attract new business. Senior level employees typically do not answer your emails if they do not have the time for you. Work is handed to members of cliques. The CEO is clueless and directionless. I predict ch2m operations in Canada will be bankrupt in less than a year. Do not apply to work for this 3rd rate company.

      Becoming less people-oriented

      Pros

      Sustainable infrastructure work is always meaningful.

      Cons

      People don't matter much anymore. Off-shoring many engineering jobs overseas, massive layoffs recently, constant restructuring, minimal job security.
