Poor management and poor culture

Pros

Good compensation package compared with the same industry, having 6 weeks vacation on “need” basis with approval of management. Flexible work schedule, remote work.

Cons

Employees don’t feel sense of belonging. Management is lack of integrity. The corporate culture doesn’t encourage collaboration. There is severe lack of collaboration between employees and departments, Management tends to creat daily, weekly meetings to keep themselves look busy but most of the meetings are useless and not effective. It’s a pretentious culture.

Pros

Some really good low level engineers. Good benefits, pay not so much.

Cons

Ridiculous pressure to make project "succeed", even if it means sourcing from dark grey markets and being told to "make the data show that it passed". Only way to survive there is to stop caring. All that matters there is politics.

Pros

- Great offices, - Paid french classes, - Fantastic cafeteria, - Knowledgeable coworkers.

Cons

- Horrible work-life balance. There is either nothing to work on, or you are under extreme pressure to deliver, which means managers do not do their job. - You're just a number. It took them one week, exactly one week, after the first confirmed case of coronavirus for them to layoff all the contractors all at once. Two weeks after that, 50% of all full-time employees for three months. More interestingly, we kept hearing rumours for two weeks before all these layoffs which made an extremely stressful atmosphere. - The job could be extremely boring. It could take you hours and hours to just test your code on the actual sim.
