      Great Dreams: Toxic Workplace

      Pros

      Work life balance is a priority. Salary was fair within the market.

      Cons

      Toxic workplace - within civil simulators. Talk of diversity and inclusion but very strong (and celebrated) boys club. Racism visible. Very poor leadership have led to toxicity even at the working level. Strong marketing focus. Not connected with the day to day.

      Pros

      Pay and benefits were good.

      Cons

      Was not a senior security engineering position as advertised. Was more like a junior ISSO / analyst position. Serious management issues with regard to cybersecurity and basic system engineering. Dysfunctional is a good word for what I experienced. Very sad as I wanted this job to work out. . Also some serious low moral issues going on due to recent buyout/merger of local company with CAE.

      Pros

      Culture is solid, welcoming, humble and helpful folks to work with. Work is constant and stable, CAE isn’t going anywhere.

      Cons

      Very low pay, substandard benefits compared to the rest of the industry. Seems to be a pit stop for laid off folks and those looking to advance to the next thing
