I cannot describe how awful my experience was in this position. The level of stress and lack of training that was provided is unbelievable. I was promoted during training and given access to systems I has never seen before and expected to handle them immediately. You are managing large compiles and you cannot make mistakes. Meetings constantly with your clients, and management. I informed my management I was struggling and was told I was fine and not to worry about it, then when things went poorly I was blamed. No one to reach out to for assistance, and no one even knew how to do what I was hired for besides the last person who held the position, and they were to busy to assist me. It’s not their fault, but given that I needed to do everything I needed more training and time, and without it I don’t know how anyone would succeed. Workload was completely uneven. Some coworkers were surfing the internet mid day while my role was in mandatory overtime. I asked my manager for assistance but they were hired after me and didn’t know how to help. I was left to flounder and fail. I ended up leaving due to stress. Ruined my confidence and didn’t trust myself for a while. I wouldn’t wish this place on my worst enemy. In speaking to teammates after I left two people were placed in my role and left in a similar fashion. Eventually the role was filled by an old employee that was fired due to cuts made before I started. Overall this role was the major reason I went into a depressive episode for months, and according to people I spoke to the person who had the role before me seems to have had the same experience.
