Pros

VMware used to be an excellent company to work for, until Broadcom took it over. Now, there is excellent compensation especially if you are P6 and above. But that is where good things end.

Cons

Constant layoffs, Need to badge in every workday even if team is distributed throughout the world. No more career growth after VMware was bought. Hardly any HR or IT help.

fire culture for women, hardly any women developers left in VCF no matrix for performance evaluation, manager is the goon management uses really bad treatment tactics and threatening tactics on employees and no action taken against them even after reporting 5 days RTO in such environment CEO says leave if you want to I don't care
