Pros

Absolutely no pros to working for the Avios team

Cons

A team of 29 of us joined at the same time, there are less than 5 left working there atm and they are looking for new jobs. The amount of stress you are put under with a 25 + yr old system that is constantly failing. You are monitored on every single second of your working day. Penalised for the time it takes to do tasks in a system that is broken. Getting shouted at by rude customers, but I can’t blame them mostly it’s due to British airways systems. The amount of colleagues on my team that suffered severe stress including myself, this job role made me ill to the point of breakdown. You are sold the dream and it literally is the worst nightmare of a job you can imagine. Your generally stuck in calls for up to 2 hours over your shift times and cannot plan anything , zero work life balance. I put a complaint in to my manager when I handed my notice in but it went on deaf ears and I was too ill to follow it up at the time. British airways are a ruthless company to work for and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to work for them in the Avios sector, although having spoken to a few pilots and engineers they feel the same way.
