The sad truth.....

Pros

Most of the children and families enrolled in the academy are pretty incredible. They generally want to develop and learn.

Cons

Poor management, on multiple levels. Unfortunately the management cares more about their bottom line than the children involved. The corporation is capitalizing on low income families (title 20) and shows no interest in enhancing the lives of the children involved. The teachers that stay are uneducated and unbearable. The management is not very forgiving when it comes to medical/dental appointments.... I missed several appointments because of this.

Pros

Good company to work for, decent pay for Teachers, clean facilities, there are a lot of different locations available to work in, room for growth

Cons

Lots of paper work, management is a little mixed up all the time, classrooms are many times out of ratio which is never a good thing

The pros of Brightside is seeing the kids smiling faces every day.

Cons

Hours are too long, staff is underpaid, raises were put on hold, a lot of cliques who are not opened to new staff, and too many changes in management.
