The sad truth.....

Pros

Most of the children and families enrolled in the academy are pretty incredible. They generally want to develop and learn.

Cons

Poor management, on multiple levels. Unfortunately the management cares more about their bottom line than the children involved. The corporation is capitalizing on low income families (title 20) and shows no interest in enhancing the lives of the children involved. The teachers that stay are uneducated and unbearable. The management is not very forgiving when it comes to medical/dental appointments.... I missed several appointments because of this.

Working with children that strive for your attention and need tlc.

Cons

Management does not know what they are doing. Over ratio all the time. Not enough teachers everyday. Dirty, even after lice, roaches, bed bugs. I was suspended, not even given a time frame, no one asked me my side of the story. They don't care about their teachers. Teachers working there with no fingerprints. Drama seems to be the topic of the day, not teaching the children. Kids being taken in without swipes, which means title 20 doesn't matter.
