Pros

Good benefits, paid time of and holidays. Mostly easy to know what to do, and keep busy. Slow sometimes. Flag rate hours are confusing at first.

Cons

No classes or anything. The only way to learn is to watch and ask older techs or go to school for it. You need to be fast, or management will chew you up. Some things are doable, others are ridiculous, and there's always a possibility of hitting a snag. Need tools, the more the merrier, especially a ratchet set, an impact wrench, and a drill or automatic screw driver and plenty of different bits. I see most people working 5 or 6 days a week. Management complains when you ask for a break. So even if you are scheduled one at it's busy, and you're hungry, they'll bark at you and tell u to do one more thing then one more then one more.

Pros

People are generally good to work with. Pay is decent, hours are generally good. They treat hourly teammates very well and provide them with incentives

Cons

Since Bridgestone has taken over the culture has changed. Upper management have taken away the credibility of the Supervisors reducing their ability to be effective on the production floor.

Pros

Pay is good for the region, if you want to make overtime there is always work. Great opportunity to learn true multicraft maintenance skills.

Cons

Deep seeded management and infrastructure issues. Production sees maintenance as an enemy and has fostered a culture of laziness among machine operators. Outdated equipment with little if any parts support.
