Pros

Great community of educators. Tuition remission is a really good benefit and every employee should take advantage of it, as salaries are lower than other competing universities.

Cons

Inefficient job application process. Not a clear path to career development (at least for union jobs). "Guided" performance reviews.

Pros

Very willing to work with a student schedule. I really enjoyed worthing with the office I was an assistant to--paid well and friendly.

Cons

The work was repetitive and boring. Lots of time spent on the phone and lots of dealing with annoyed students and parents.

Pros

BU will pay for most of your graduate degree, which is a great benefit.

Cons

But otherwise, salaries are terrible and there are few opportunities to move up in the organization.
