Pros

BU has very helpful administration. The place is mostly quiet, since the floors with classrooms are separated from office floors. The medical benefits are nice.

Cons

Any bureaucratic things are moving so slowly there... Library collection is rather weak. Working computers are outdated.

Pros

Many opportunities to work with professors and interact with staff members over the course of my job. Down time to study when work load is not significant.

Cons

Not that many cons, except the construction in the SMG building has made everything different and more difficult to adjust to. More pros than cons definitely.

Pros

Lots of opportunities to network. Love the city, lots to do. Research is interesting.

Cons

Dismal pay as a graduate student. Not a lot of career development guidance for after graduation. Support from administration is lukewarm after first year.
