Pros

Boston is a great city, and BU is centrally located for easy access to downtown or to outlying boroughs. The benefits are pretty good (healthcare + 403b matching).

Cons

Students everywhere (maybe a pro for some). BU itself does not value the position of research scientist, and so the bureaucracy will make your life more difficult than it needs to be for no good reason.

Pros

Employer is understanding of your time. Daily interactions with customers and friendly co-workers give this place a friendly work environment. Place is always kept clean.

Cons

Breadwinners is only open till 6pm and you are fighting with other students to get the time slots. Also they are not open on weekends so you can not work those days
