Pros

- Good compensation for grad students - Focused course requirements - Good resources / equipment BU can be a great place for grad school. They don't have crazy requirements for the program, it can be very self-structured, and there's a lot of great resources.

Cons

- Lots of poor oversight - Atmosphere can be stifling I think graduate school in general is on a downhill trend right now. "Advising" tends to be pretty minimal, there's a lot of egos to deal with, and it doesn't always feel like there's someone out there trying to help you succeed.

Pros

You get the opportunity to try a lot of new things

Cons

Lack of leadership, getting promoted or transferred is like pulling teeth, morale is horrible and supervisors seem to be oblivious to it, and work/life balance would be great if you could actually take advantage of it.
